White tea
White tea is a lightly fermented type of tea that originates from Fujian Province in China, primarily found in the Fuding and Zhenghe regions. It is renowned for its natural, delicate flavour and health benefits. The production process of white tea is relatively simple, involving two main steps: withering and drying, which help preserve the natural state of the tea leaves. White tea has a light, refreshing taste and a subtle, pleasant aroma, with distinctive notes of downy and floral scents. Antioxidants in white tea provide a variety of health benefits, such as detoxification, anti-aging, lowering blood pressure, and protecting the liver. White tea was first presented to the imperial court during the Tang Dynasty. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was widely enjoyed. White tea is best brewed in glass, porcelain, or purple clay teapots with water at a lower temperature to maintain its delicate aroma and flavour. It is a pure, wholesome experience to have a cup of white tea as it guides you through the pristine essence and blessing of nature.
