Brewing Guide

Welcome to our Brewing Guide, where you'll find comprehensive step-by-step instructions and expert tips for brewing each variety of our teas. We want to ensure you achieve the perfect brew every time, enhancing your tea experience to its fullest.

*Listed below are suggested amounts and tea-ware for brewing, which can be adjusted according to individual preference.

Raw Pu-erh Tea

1. Preparation: Warm the tea cup and lid with hot water, then add about 5-10 grams of raw Pu'er tea leaves and cover with the lid.

2. Infusion: Fill the cup with boiling water (100°C) to heat the interior, allowing the high temperature to brew the tea leaves and release their aroma.

3. Pouring: After about a minute, slowly pour hot water along the cup's edge, filling it without stopping, to wash away impurities with the water flow.

4. Steeping:After approximately 30 seconds of infusion, the tea liquor becomes clear and bright. Stop pouring.

5. Serving: Pour out about one-third of the tea liquor from the cup, leaving about two-thirds. Tilt the lid upside down on the cup and enjoy the aged aroma and fruity notes of raw Pu'er tea.

Ripe Pu-erh Tea

1. Equipment: Use a purple clay teapot and add about 5-10 grams of ripe Pu'erh tea leaves.

2. First Pour: Quickly pour out the first brew, place the tea leaves in the teapot, and add about 250 ml of boiling water (100°C).

3. Sealing: Cover the teapot and rinse it with boiling water to evenly distribute the temperature inside and outside, enhancing the release of tea aroma.

4. Steeping Time: Adjust the steeping time based on personal taste preferences.

*Little Tip: Use a method of steeping with some tea left in the pot each time. Retain about one-fourth or one-fifth of the tea liquor in the teapot, do not pour out all, and then refill with boiling water until the tea flavour weakens.

*Besides purple clay teapots, ripe Pu'erh tea can also be brewed with ceramic or glass teapots.

White Tea

1. Water: Prepare pure water at around 95°C.

2. Warming: Warm the tea cup and lid with hot water, rinse tea utensils.

3. Adding Tea:*Place 5-10 grams of white tea leaves into the warm tea cup.

4. Aroma Activation: Stir to release the aroma of the tea leaves.

3. Adding Tea: Once the tea cup is warm, add 5-10 grams of black tea leaves into the cup.

4. Aroma Activation: Gently shake the cup twice to release the tea aroma.

5. Aroma: Enjoy the fragrant aroma of the black tea by smelling the cup after opening.

6. Brewing: Pour water up to about 4/5 full, immerse the tea leaves, and let the aroma dissolve in the water.

7. Pouring: Quick pouring for the first 1-3 brews. For brews 4-6, steep for 5-10 seconds. For brews 6-10, steep for about 15 seconds. Increase brewing time with each subsequent brew to ensure consistent flavour.
